Pubic Area Discoloration

Pubic Area Discoloration

Many aspects of our bodies change as we age. The hue of your skin surrounding your genitals, on the other hand, is something you would not have expected to change. This type of transformation like any other does not normally occur overnight. Instead, it's slow - so subtle, in fact, that you might miss it at first. It's totally natural for your labia in females, scrotum and anus in males to be darker than the rest of your body's skin. This darkening is referred to as hyperpigmentation.
In a friendly, sympathetic and loving setting, we integrate OB-GYN, and Aesthetic services. We believe in equipping our patients with knowledge of medical developments so that they may participate in making educated decisions to achieve their entire well-being. To assure our patients' safety, we aim to stay current on obstetrics- gynecology and aesthetic medical breakthroughs. We make every effort to guarantee that all of our treatments are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. We hope that each visit will be a revitalizing experience in your healing process.
We are committed to providing personalized holistic medical care in an atmosphere of honesty and integrity. We advocate for treatments that have been clinically proven to be effective and safe.

Causes and factors to consider

  • Hormonal imbalance.
  • Aging
  • Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

You can try to reduce chafing and friction by doing the following

  • Avoiding wearing garments and underwear that are too tight
  • Maintaining your skin's moisture
  • Avoiding hair removal methods such as waxing or shaving, which can result in folliculitis and irritation
  • Putting on sweat-wicking clothes.

Procedure Overview

  • The doctor will thoroughly clean the area where you want to brighten.
  • The skin of the intimate area is then treated with a harmless chemical or advanced lasers.
  • One or more compounds, such as trichloroacetic acid and lactic acid, may be used by the doctor.
  • This causes the top layer of skin to blister and eventually peel off.
  • As a result, when the skin's outer layer is removed, the skin cells beneath it are renewed.
  • Once the new skin cells are activated, the skin layer will appear younger and smoother.
  • For around 10 minutes after the treatment, you may experience a minor burning and stinging sensation.

Post care

  • Patients are recommended to refrain from having intercourse for a week following the therapy.
  • If you are menstruating, avoid getting a chemical peel or laser.
  • To avoid irritation, do not wax or shave the region before the therapy.
